Once the Door is Closed...

Apparently it creates enough of a vacuum to open the window.  Which is exactly what happened after I published this post.

I got three comments and an email back from the apartment manager I applied with for a one bedroom unit.

Everyone??  I AM MOVING BACK TO SEATTLE!

The apartment is an AMAZING location, better than I could have possibly dreamed and the square footage is great.  My incredible friend Paul has gone twice to check out the apartment, both times at night in the dark to be sure there aren't, you know, vampires and stuff.  He met with the landlord, measured and basically drew me a picture of my new place.  Paul,  you're my hero!

If you've been reading me through the years, you know how I've missed the city, the all things I love about it and how excited I am even though I'll be moving there during the rainy reading season.

While I know nostalgia is Karma's bitch, I do know there are certain grounding features about my life in Seattle that I appreciated and appreciate all the more since they have ceased to exist.

To all the Seattle peeps?  Moving party at my house with pizza and beverages!

Congrats! When are you moving back? I'll be there November 23-28. If you're in town we should grab some coffee (at one of the thousand coffee shops).

This sounds amazing, I hope that Seattle brings with it what sounds like much needed peace.
